Colbar @ Portsdown

Headed to Colbar with Alvin and Lynn on Sunday evening for dinner. Haven't been there before and when we reached there, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was a charming little place, that looked really laid back, like a coffeeshop, but full of expatriates.

We later found out that Colbar was retained by the government as a heritage place. It used to be an army camp canteen. So, they turned it into a casual dining place, selling local and western delights. The food was also quite "old school". You probably won't find steaks with green peas served on plastic plates these days. Maybe, at home. :) Food wise, it was nothing to rave about.

Pardon the quality of the image. I tried my best with my iphone 3GS.

Blessings to Lisa & JM

Lisa and JM recently tied the knot. They had a church wedding followed by banquet at Goodwood Park.

I only have a few photos because my battery died halfway and after that, I decided not to bring my camera out with me anymore. ;p

So, here are the few gatecarsh photos I managed to take. Thanks to Jessica (the lawyer and our negotiator), we had quite a good deal. And, it certainly was one of the toughest gatecrash I have ever come across.

Anyway, all in good fun. And Lisa & JM, here's wishing you a blissful and blessed marriage, all in our ABBA, Jesus' name. Amen.

(Jackson was THE hero.)

Playstation 3

I think I want a PS3/4/5 depending on which is the newest by then. Because, I want to play this game. I can't remember the name but it was super cool.

Yeah! This is ME!

Air of Love

Xmas 2010
I was very sick during the Christmas period. But Baby was very sweet, he still brought me to Morton's for celebration. Although, I could not eat much, he remembered I love the lobster bisque. So yummy.

Morton's with Love. We ordered Prime Steak that was as big as Baby's arm!
P.s. Was wearing Rosette Cocktail Dress from Moda Shoppe. Really love this dress.

Valentine's Day 2011
We had a simple Valentine's Day celebration this year (2011). We watched Black Swan, which for a moment seemed like a horror movie. But turned out to be such an awesome movie. Natalie Portman really deserves the Oscar's! I am glad she got it.

Anyway, Baby bought Stripes to add to our family! He's such a cutie. I mean Stripes.

Never Too Old

Derrick's granny had such a strong desire to learn new things that she signed up for a course with Young At Heart (YAH). Upon completion, the organisation threw a big celebration for them - a graduation ceremony, with motar and a gown. I thought it was a really neat idea, especially for the elderly who did not have the opportunity to wear the "square hat". So, we were there to witness her proud moments. Congratulations granny! She is such a role model that it's never too old to learn anything.

The convocation

The ceremony ended on a high!

Granny proudly showed off her certificate.

Playing with the motar. Mother also wanted to put on the gown.

Me "blowing" those huge balloons.
P.s. Ralph Lauren Inspired Shirt Dress from Moda Shoppe

Office Birthday Celebrations

We have team birthday celebration in the month of somebody's birthday. In November and December, we celebrated Benoit, Johan and Umang's birthdays. Thanks to Benoit for all the organising to make it a success! And we always get to enjoy yummy cakes because of him.

Happy Birthday Benoit!

P.s. Cel and I were in Moda Shoppe clothes. So we took a pict.

Happy Birthday Johan and Umang!

P.s. Cel was wearing Moda Shoppe's dress.

Blessed Marriage, My Dear Friend

My friend from kindergarten, Grace walked down the aisle on 25 November 2010, with her dinner on 26 November 2010 at The Regent. Here's wishing Wee Pern and her a blessed marriage.

While they rehearse, we entertained ourselves.

At the church

Here comes the bride... Here comes the bride...

The solemnisation

And the lighting of the unity candles - two hearts, united forever

And of course, as bridesmaids, we had to make sure we looked good too.
Thanks to our dearest Stanley from Elite Salon for always making us look pretty.
P.s. Dresses from Moda Shoppe.

The bridesmaids of the day. Gina looking pretty in a dress, make up and pretty hairdo.

The wonderful band that lifted up the mood at the wedding.
They were awesome!

The sweet couple

And of course, us!

A Sister's Birthday

She is always here for us as long as we are her close friends. She goes all out to help us. She is loving, sweet, sincere, considerate, despite being really mischievious - when there's a cake with cream and when her evil twin, my hubby is around. So, we celebrated her birthday (a surprise) at our LCSS meeting one evening last year.

Thank God, she didn't rub cream on us. And I did not buy a cake with too much visible cream.

Maybe we will do a more interesting bday celebration for her this year. WITHOUT cream.
