My life - an update

I forgot all about blogger application! So here I am blogging when little boy is fast asleep.

So I have officially become a full fledged preschool teacher. I am definitely passionate about it and know that I have much to learn. In whatever I do in this ministry, I want to make sure I glorify God. I am praying for His wisdom and guidance.

Next, I am having a little life in me! It's a princess this time. This pregnancy hasn't been smooth sailing. All I can say is, God has really been my strength and strong tower. I am glad the little girl is growing. And praise be to God that Isaac is very accepting of his soon-to-be status of being a big brother. He often speaks of this sister and even tries to think of a name together with me.

And here is a really cute conversation to share.

While watching Sofia the first, I asked him if the name would be nice for his sister. He said,"no... It's not a nice name for Mei Mei." Then he continued,"Let It Go is a nicer name for Mei Mei.".

I had such a good laugh. Can u imagine "Let it go Teng"? I think our little girl will query our wisdom in the name selection. We will happily credit it to her brother.

Isaac is growing to be such an adorable and cooperative boy. I really thank God for blessing us with him and for giving us parenting wisdom. All we do is cast our eyes on Him.

Naturally, I do have my challenges at work too. I really pray for his grace and wisdoms.

All right! Till next time.

Latest photo of us!!

P.s. It's another milestone today for us. Isaac wore underwear only the whole afternoon and was able to pass urine in the toilet when needed. Time to stock up on underwear for him!!! My boy is growing really fast.

iPhone app

Woohoo!!! Now I may clear my cobwebs with this app! I wonder why I didn't think about downloading an app to blog earlier. It would have saved me time.

With a baby, an iPhone is perfect. When I didn't have time to use my laptop, a small mobile "computer" is the best. I can use it when we are napping. More like he naps. I can use it while he drinks milk.

I thought I would have time to blog but no way... He requires attention so intermittently that I always manage only two lines.

Anyway, here is a latest photo of Isaac. And a photo of baby and I. Our first couple shot since I delivered.

Oh! Such changes!

My mum fell sick and was hospitalised for 5 months.

I delivered on 31 March 2012 and named my boy, Isaac. I hope he will be blessed, like Abraham's Isaac. He arrived early and caught us by surprise.

And now, I am a stay at home mum, struggling to adapt. Ok. Not all that bad, considering he is asleep most of the time. That leaves me ample time to do a lot of things. Well, you will probably envy me. But, it does leave me feeling rather bored because I am too used to having a lot of things to do. And I yearn for my social life.

On the other hand, I am extremely attached to him. I am like this possessive mother who doesn't allow any other to lay hands on him. And I will make sure he doesn't leave my sight when someone else is handling him. The only exception is my hubby. Which reminds me.. He is great! Awesome, if you asked me.

He surpassed my expectation as a father and husband throughout the whole time. He is supportive and caring, tolerant and patient. Thank God for him, I could not have survived by confinement period.

Now, I have to learn to let go and let other people handle Isaac. Otherwise, I cannot regain some normal life. And I will end up just being with him 24/7. It drives me nuts. I do need a break now and then from being a stay at home mum.

I miss working. I miss dressing up and looking pretty. I miss adventures. Looking forward to them.

Thinking back, I simply cannot believe everything that happened to me just a few months back. There have been so many changes in my life. I am now a mother.

Anyway, since I do have time on hand, I decided to blog again. I shall be uploading some out dated photos, which I found. I haven't found time for them since my mother got hospitalised. This should be a good time for some "catch up".

Oh what changes.

Turn of Events

The last few weeks had been an emotional roller coaster ride for me.

One moment, we were happily preparing for my brother's wedding in December... And I was celebrating the joy of the marriages of Kelvin and Steph and Ling and Bird... Celebrating knowing our baby is a boy... Anticipating our Taiwan trip... the next moment, I almost lost my mother to the devil of death.

How is it possible that life's turn of events could happen within such short moments of joy and sadness? But it was. And life is very fragile.

I think we should never take life for granted and we should always love ourselves. My mum's refusal to face her health problems was the reason she reached the extent of almost losing her life.

When the doctor told us that there was a 50% chance of survival from her surgery, the whole family was in tears. We braced for good news throughout the whole period when the surgery was going on. I always thought I would only experienced that in the movies or drama serial. But, we were in real life, prancing up and down the corridor outside the operating theatre, rushing to whichever doctor who came out to find out about her situation or progress of surgery.

It was the worst wait in my life, ever. Every time I closed my eyes and opened them, it was only 2 minutes that had past. When we finally saw the doctor who told us the operation was successful, we were so relieved.

Naturally, the days that followed were not easy. It was a lot of attention on her to encourage her and help her get well. Mummy has always been more on the timid and pessimistic side. So, being by her during the first critical week was significant.

Now that we are in the second week, it is becoming more eminent to keep her spirits and emotions up. She is expected to stay in for another month or so, and go through one more operation. So, in order for her to sustain the stamina to stay positive, we have to keep encouraging her and keep her happy.

It is not easy. And it pains us to see her suffer - all those needles, tubes, drips, blood withdrawal, medicines, nausea... But we have to stay strong. In fact, we have to be stronger than ever so that she can inherit those positive vibes from us and stay strong herself.

I pray and keep faith that she will recover sooner. That she will surprise the doctors and get well faster than they expected. Of course, help her with baby steps without pressurising her.

For all the prayers dear friends and family you have given her and my family, big thanks...

Finally... Another Post

Oops... It's been a while - many months to be exact since I last posted. Well... Let's just say that there has been a lot of changes in my life! I'll share more when the time is right.

I picked up baking and had successfully baked Chicago Cheese Cake. I also made Apple Strudel, which was quite a failure. The puff pastry was completely flat!

Anyway, sharing something very meaningful here.

Updates: 2 NOV 2010

Woah... Sometimes, I do not know where time goes to. It just goes by too fast too fast.

I have been so busy for the past week - busy with at work and working midnights. Then busy with the booth. And finally, I downloaded and sorted out my very messy storage for my photos. That taught me not to use several cameras in future.

So, in the posts to come, I will be posting some belated photos.

Meanwhile, a little opinion of mine for the booth we had the past Saturday. It was a disappointment. The organiser advertise the event as "Fashionista Event" and when we were there, it was nothing glamarous. In fact, it was wose than Tanglin Flea Market. The location was poor with low human traffic and it was raining intermittently so I tihnk it made things worse. So, we are really thankful for those who came down specially to support us. Many thanks for the love! :) Despite that, we still enjoyed ourselves. It was quite fun nevertheless. But really tiring. I woke up at 5am because of the rain and kept praying for it to stop. ;p

Here are a few photos we took.

For those who have been wondering when our next launch is... Sorry that there's such a long hiatus. The next launch will be in the week of 15 Nov! We have been really busy. But we do have some really pretty clothes to share! In fact, I am wearing one today and Derrick said this is a very pretty dress.

Do keep a lookout! You will defnitely receive updates.

Finally, we were told that there were reviews of us on Cozy Cot "Reviews for your Online Loots" on the forum. So thrilled to hear that! Thanks a lot for the reviews. We are really glad our clothes have been accepted and loved.

Till the next post ~~ Keep well everyone. Have a blessed week ahead!

Updates: 15 Sep 2010

I am back from HK! I will post a separate entry on this after I have downloaded all the photos. How could there be no photos for a travel log?

Anyway, I have been too tired to do anything until today. I went to bed early last night at 10.30pm after:
  1. I stepped out of my home looking very un-me. The guys asked if I did something to my hair (hinting I had bad hair day) and I looked like I was in one of my worst-dressed days (which is very seldom).
  2. Baby also commented my eye bags and eye rings were horrible. I took a look at the mirror and had a shock of my life. I decided I had to sleep.
  3. I was totally dysfunctional yesterday. My mind was in a blank. My eyes were heavy and I could barely hold my lids. I doubt toothpicks would help.
  4. While trying to read my latest purchased book (The Other Side of The Story by Marian Keyes), I could not get past the first two lines.
So, I went to bed after keeping the Koi bubble tea from Jason in the fridge.

The bed never felt more comfortable - I was totally enveloped by the softness of my goose-feather quilt and pillow, and the moment my head hit the pillow, I knocked out.

I did not wake up until this morning when Baby lightly touched my face and I woke up to see him looking at me lovingly. This is the best sight in the morning. :)

But I fell asleep shortly dreaming that my closet was missing and I was weeping badly. I woke up and was glad it was only a nightmare. My closet is still around. My clothes aren't missing!

Anyway, I feel so much better today. More functional than yesterday.

I started blogging on Wedding & Travel for Clara. Well, it was but now, I think it's pretty fun. Do visit http://blog.wedding-travel.com/lovebliss/ and read more! Couples who are getting married, blog there too!

Also, Wedding & Travel is organizing a Wedding event with a view of F1. I am so going to attend: http://www.wedding-travel.com/weddingformula.aspx.

Updates Updates

I absolutely must blog this post because if I don't, I might not be blogging until next week! Ok. I'll most likely blog tomorrow night anyway.

I have been quite sick over the weekend. In the end, I started drinking the greenish and yucky-looking cough syrup (the colour turned me off) and antibiotics since I was coughing out thick, yellow phlegm - all thanks to me being stubborn. I had to miss Rock Kidz on Sunday because of my persistent cough. Miss the children!

Anyway, after a few rest days and obediently taking medicines, I am on the road to recovery. Although my throat still becomes irritated and I would go into cough attacks (coughed very hard like my lungs were deflated, and I teared and sneezed at the same time). So, thanks to Johan's Halls candy, I managed to make it home on the sardine-packed train last evening. I can't imagine what would happen if I went into one of the cough attacks in that packed train. Haha. That would be really funny - reminds me of another incident. But maybe I'll share next time. If I don't, leave me comments to remind me! I love sharing experiences on MRT. Very funny.

Anyway, it's shoot day today. I am pretty excited. And we will launch tomorrow! Yeah!!! After that, I'll be in HK. Poor Celeste. She will have to handle everything by herself after I am gone. But I'll be staying connected. That is if I can revive my BB. It died yesterday. I am waiting for Dave to come in.

I am also quite hopeless with this collection. I like almost everything! And almost bought all the colours of all designs. But I managed to exert some self control. I'll blog tomorrow and share with you the ones I super love and bought.

Lastly, I am going to also start blogging on Wedding & Travel website. They have a very cool blog section where you can create your own blog within their website. I will start tomorrow. :) Do look out for my posts there! I'll be sharing my own wedding experiences, and since I have a good 10 weddings or so to attend and helping in some of those, I should have many stories to share.

All righty.. as for now, it's back to preparing for my presentation for tomorrow and more writing (internal announcements on wins).

Time Lapse

Sometimes, there's simply no way to hold on to the hands of the clock. They just keep ticking by, moving on. Watching the seconds ticked by, I realised it has been weeks since I last blogged. It's now time to revive it.

I have been kept happily occupied throughout this hiatus. Due to limited time, this blog would be a brief update, without some really juicy images. But, I promise I would include more pictures in my next blogs. Hopefully, in the not-too-far future.

Let's see.

I have been highly favoured, truly blessed and deeply loved. Many beaufiful things happened to me during this lapse. I encountered amazing experiences with my mighty creator's most wonderful creations.

HE sent me one of his most amazing works. A creation I never expected I would fall in love with. But when I finally gave in to my feelings of falling in love with him, I know we would be together in every sense of the word. For he is God-sent, to make my life a better, more joyous, loving and wonderful place to dwell in.

He brought joy to not just my life, but also my family's. He is my DD and I thank our Father Lord for him. Since he is so special, you will definitely see more of him.

My diving dream finally materialised. The world I longed to see did not disappoint me. It is filled with colourful creations of God.

I love the feeling of being immersed in the water, the taste of the salty sea water and feeling the coolness of the water on my skin. I enjoy breathing through the regulator, listening to my breathing, watching the sea creatures swim by, or sometimes just corals, hovering to watch some sea creatures and being propelled by my very nice Twin Jet fins. It's a whole new world to explore. And I am determined to dive the world.

By the way, I do feel quite belonged under the sea (for those who are sniggering, I know why). And I yearn to keep going back to that world beneath. Since this is also special to me, I would be writing more on diving too. Of course, diving is even more special to me because it was the beginning to my walk of love with MY DD.

I am not relaxing anymore, but found a job. A job in an industry that I always wanted a foot in. Things are going well so far. I am definitely enjoying the challenges, my job scope and environment.

Heeding the Lord's calling, I am also serving in my church in the Children Ministry. After starting off with the P3 & P4, I decided to have a go at the nursery. They are the Lord's such endearing creations! I have fallen in love with them. And I look forward to seeing these children every Sunday.

In order to build a deeper relationship with my Heavenly Father, DD and I have also started our bible study class. Definitely challenging, but insightful.

So, my dear readers, as you can see, so much have gone on in my life during this time lapse. However, I am happy and enjoying my life. I give the credit to my first priority in life, my Father in Heaven. He has blessed me abundantly. Amen!
