The Little Things

In life, we often take the little things for granted. Things such as safety and security. And that's because we live in Singapore, a relatively sheltered nation with strict laws and rules.

So, how often have we felt thankful to be able to walk out of the house, dressed to the nines, looking fashionable and even sexy for some ladies? How often have we felt thankful for being able to hop onto a night rider or taxi tipsy or even drunk without being taken advantage of?

The rape case in New Delhi has shone light on the issues of safety for women in India. Reading an article by author of Beautiful Life about her living in India, made me felt so thankful about living in Singapore.

I am thankful I do not have to cross my arms and look down on the floor when I walk around. I am thankful I do not have to wear clothes two sizes too big for me. I am thankful I can take public transport even late at night.

But I don't take it for granted and start wearing revealing clothes that could get me into trouble. I do keep a watchful eye as I travel at night. When I walk in places I feel uncomfortable about; where prying eyes roam, I do not keep an eye contact with men nor do I stroll. I can't say the same for some ladies, particularly the younger generation.

I have observed teens wearing revealing or body hugging outfits. Some of them are see-through blouses, which they might as well wear their bras. Some are plunging necklines revealing cleavages and offering a peek to their bras. Seriously, you can't blame men for being lured into temptation.

We have been lucky to be living in a safe country. However, with the influx of foreign talents, how can we be sure that the safety we have enjoyed will remain so?

Nobody can. And since we have been brought up sheltered, safety has been taken for granted. And ladies are not well prepared to protect themselves.

Some ladies carry just a small purse out. What makeshift weapons could there be in that small purse?

The rape case also brought to light the vulnerability of being a woman in general. There are cases of women being raped every now and then, even in Singapore.

Should we blame those men then for being unable to control their sexual desires? Or should we, women start taking care of ourselves?

I think it is therefore imminent for women to start carrying items in their handbags that could protect themselves. Women should also learn some defense techniques, especially since we are usually the weaker gender. This should be made compulsory. Defense mechanisms are not just useful locally, but overseas as well as we travel for holidays. Women should also stay vigilant and avoid walking alone in dark alleys or "unsafe" corners. Lastly, women should really look into their wardrobe and start covering up sufficiently to ensure they are not the cause of temptations.

Before ending off, I am reminded of a rape case I read years ago. The woman escaped safely. She succumbed to the rapist but before he penetrated her, she took his erection and broke it. After that, she ran away to make a police report.

So ladies out there, stop taking the safety we enjoy for granted. Start protecting ourselves and stay vigilant. These little things matter.

Looking forward to a brand new 2013

That is, if the world does not end as prophesized next week.

Anyway, I am looking forward to 2013. I have so much planned for the year! It will be a new beginning for me.

I made one important decision today and I have done it. Moving on, my life will be more enriching.

1. I can blog regularly again.
2. I can feed facebook with more photos and updates. I am such a social media victim!
3. My spiritual life will be enriched with more time and hopefully activities with Jesus.
4. I look forward to nurturing my marriage life as I have pockets of free time for Derrick.
5. My Isaac will be growing so well because I will be cooking a storm for him (and Derrick). And I will be bringing him back home to spend more time with him.
6. My new career begins... I will be the master of my own time and money. Who's to tell me my targets, what time I should start working or how long my lunch should be!
7. I look forward to teaching. Please do contact me if you are looking for tutors. Check out: www.enrichwithcindy.blogspot.com
8. I am going to pursue my passion in early childhood education.
9. My own home will be ready!
10. My mummy will be discharged and I will make efforts to go see her more often.
11. I will read more magazines and books - again! Oh... Time, how I miss you.
12. I get me-time. Yes! My gym and massage, manicure packages, will be fully utilised again.

2013 will be a get fit, get well, spiritually enriched and marriage fulfilling life. Big year ahead for me! I am anticipating.

2013, I am welcoming you with open arms.

Oh! Such changes!

My mum fell sick and was hospitalised for 5 months.

I delivered on 31 March 2012 and named my boy, Isaac. I hope he will be blessed, like Abraham's Isaac. He arrived early and caught us by surprise.

And now, I am a stay at home mum, struggling to adapt. Ok. Not all that bad, considering he is asleep most of the time. That leaves me ample time to do a lot of things. Well, you will probably envy me. But, it does leave me feeling rather bored because I am too used to having a lot of things to do. And I yearn for my social life.

On the other hand, I am extremely attached to him. I am like this possessive mother who doesn't allow any other to lay hands on him. And I will make sure he doesn't leave my sight when someone else is handling him. The only exception is my hubby. Which reminds me.. He is great! Awesome, if you asked me.

He surpassed my expectation as a father and husband throughout the whole time. He is supportive and caring, tolerant and patient. Thank God for him, I could not have survived by confinement period.

Now, I have to learn to let go and let other people handle Isaac. Otherwise, I cannot regain some normal life. And I will end up just being with him 24/7. It drives me nuts. I do need a break now and then from being a stay at home mum.

I miss working. I miss dressing up and looking pretty. I miss adventures. Looking forward to them.

Thinking back, I simply cannot believe everything that happened to me just a few months back. There have been so many changes in my life. I am now a mother.

Anyway, since I do have time on hand, I decided to blog again. I shall be uploading some out dated photos, which I found. I haven't found time for them since my mother got hospitalised. This should be a good time for some "catch up".

Oh what changes.

My Cry

I want our government to consider and implement green projects more seriously. The society of the world need to be active in saving the earth.

We need to save the earth. Need to save our environment.

Even if costs of housing are brought down or taxes reduced, if we cannot save our earth, it will perish. Even if they take away ERPs or reduce the prices, it will only aggravate the situation we are facing.

Those cost-savings may not even benefit our future generation. They may very well become dinosaurs of the next millenium when an overhaul occurs.

This, is one of my cries to the elected party.

Green. Green. Green.

How does it feel?

How does it feel I am 1.5 days away from bidding farewell to the company I work in for almost four years?

Relaxed, happy and excited. Savouring every enjoyable moment I can and leaving with the best last memories.

Would I be sad?

I would be of course! It's a silly question to ask. But, the intensity of this feeling is already diluted because I was so sad when I resigned, I almost cried. Right now, I am adapted to the idea of my departure. I am a little immuned to the fact that I am leaving.

This place has left me a lot of memories - mostly pleasant.

From the first time I joined and had such wonderful contributions to the company... to the take over and transitions... to having so many good friends at work... to wonderful work environment and bosses... to the parties we had... those drunk moments... those travels... those laughters... joy... sadness and farewells... Of course, those challenging moments... struggles... fears...

This place has imprinted a lot of wonderful memories. It has also seen me through my relationship and marriage. This is where I have grown up. It has made me stronger and better.

How could I not be sad?

I feel like I am bidding a really good relationship goodbye. If not because of better opportunity, personal development and desire to have my dream come true... I would hate to say "I think we don't complement each other. We have characters differences now."

I only wish that I will not cry (my tear ducts are very weak) on my last day tomorrow. So long. Farewell! I will bring along all these sweet, happy memories to my new challenge.

You will always have a place in my heart.

Letting go...

No... I am not telling you who I am voting for. This shall be a tough decision. I am certainly not a blind follower and I have eyes and mind to see, and a heart to listen.

The parties for my constituency are presenting facts and great solutions for my country. But at the end of the day, I must remember, whoever I choose, the party will be responsible for my neighbourhood. Or of now, my parents' neighbourhood - I have not changed my address. And I need to think about what I would hope for this neighbourhood to be for the next 5 years. What can the party bring to the table for this neighbourhood?

I need to remember that the party may or may not have a strong hold in the parliament. And the big plans for the country do not equate to what they could do for my parents in the future. Yet, I am in favour some of the big plans.

My only hope is, whichever party selected, they would listen to the cries of the citizens and consider the proposals put across by the different parties and improve them. Or else, they may not have the next 5 years. They must know that the people want to be heard. They want actions to be taken. From the flood of thoughts, it is obvious that the nation is maturing.

Being educated, affluent and exposed, they know their rights and desires. I also hope that the elected party will not disappoint. They must remember, the people who elected them, are the people who will be responsible for their choice. If the results disappoint, they will learn. They will correct.

This should be the way people will grow. Democracy can lead to a mature society when people know what they do affect their lives and future. When they have a direct impact of their decision, they will learn and grow.

People cannot be spoon fed and hand held anymore. The higher authorities do not need to worry about us like children. They should keep faith and have confidence in the choice of the people. Afterall, the next election is in 5 years. What's suffering for 5 years if a mistake happens?

So what if at the end of the day, a mistake is made? People complain but they know what to do when the next election comes.

It is good to fail sometimes. To fall sometimes. To learn. This is life. This is experience.

The Power...

Of the internet and social media for politics.

We have seen in GE 2011 that those who know how to use the social media reaching out to netizens, have high influences and discussability space.

Information spread like wildfire within a matter of a few hours (even minutes), reaching far and wide, even to citizens residing outside of the country. Their opinons are also heard from miles far away from home.

I have to say, I have never been personally very involved in the politics of our nation (maybe one point in time, at the age younger than Nicole Seah). Partly because our leading party has been doing a good job, keeping the country economically and politically stable. So, I can sleep at night and focus my energy on other matters in life. Because they keep the country safe, so I am not afraid of being shot at night. At least, these occurences are few and far.

My worries revolve around whether my children will become strawberries or maybe even grapes. This seems largely a society issue, less of the governmental issue. There are countries that are thriving and yet the society do not indulge in materialism. Yet their children grow up strong, independent, responsible and sensible. This is, another topic to discuss regarding the society, which is also at the heart of the Asian culture. I shall bring this to another post, one day.

I have also thought that our people are apathetic but yet are vocal about their thoughts (compliants). Yet throughout this election, we have seen comments, feedbacks, opinions and supports for the opposing parties dominating social media and the net. This proved that they aren't just a bunch of apathetic complian kings/queens as perceived. They want to be heard and actions to be taken. They don't want to be patronised anymore.

It has been melodramatic over the world wide web and iphone applicaiton and I watched, read and studied in amusement. It has been politically entertaining.

While the mainstream media tend to lean on one side of the news, (although trying to take a neutral standpoint), the social media and net provide an alternative, uncontrolled avenue for people to air their views and at the same time, a space to influence one another's perspectives.

I am awed not so much by the drama and some dirty tactics (politics is a dirty game anyway - not my cuppa), but by the rate and speed, and power of the net and the social media.

Who needs complete freedom of the media when the net is such an excellent alternative?

Freeing the media will probably make being a reporter more interesting than before. If that's the case, could I consider joining the media and fulfill my childhood dream of becoming a reporter? How does covering a story like the Watergate Scandal sound to the politicians who said we should free the media?

Salute the creation of the WWW and the social media.

Oh! What a Glorious Day!

Caption: View from my desk - Our busy PSA port and beautiful sunny day

It is such a glorious day today!

Here I am sitting at my desk, savouring the last few weeks of wonferful scenary I have from my desk before I leave this place.

It's only recently then I really enjoy the view next to me. I realised that our port is really busy. It's filled with containers, cargos and many ships. On top of that, they seem to be reclaiming a part of the island. Evolving landscape...

Staring at the azure sea, clear baby blue sky and white, fluffy clouds, an image appeared in my mind: Me in bikini, sun hat and shades, lounging on a sun deck, sipping cocktail and soaking in a healthy tan. Staring at the endless horizon of the earth, where the sky meets the edge of the sea. Listening to the serenity of nothing but waves gently hitting the coastline. Hmmm... This is life.

So, I decided, I must go to the beach again. My body yearns to go beneath that waves-lapping surface, to visit the colour, marine world I love.

If, I don't get radiated. :)

Anyway, I sure know how to enjoy life. A few days ago, Suz and I randomly decided to go for Martini Hour at Morton's Bar. It was such an impromptu decision. And we had so much fun just sipping martinis and enjoying free steak sandwich.

I am so glad that I still have friends who could do happy hours together with. We agreed that we should not stop this. Let's hope it continues through our older age!

Here are some images.

They were so generous and kept serving us the steak sandwiches - when I already had in my hand.

Dear Blog

Dear Blog,

How time flies! We just ended Christmas and now anticipating the onset of another year.

A quick update - I had been very sick. Never been so sick before. Had persistent high fever, viral infection, lymph infection and ultimately, drug allergy that made me looked swollen and like an alien. I am still on medication but I look really normal now.

I seriously had a system overhaul. At least I have to say, my skin is looking quite good even without any powder. This is one of the greatest consolations. And probably not quite sustainable (according to baby), I have lost quite a lot of weight. Haha.

Oh well. I can't say I am proud to be that sick. It was one of the most horrible experiences and needless to say, traumatizing when I saw myself looking like some alien was breaking through my skin. It was horrifying! I had swollen cheeks, hands, feet and itches. I did not have rough rashes but I had scaly-looking patches all over my body.

Now, I am back on my health, I need to do really get back in shape for my MT KK climb. I lost so much muscular strength and even walking in the malls tired me out. I felt shortness of breath and I got really exhausted. So, I need to get my fitness level up so that I could easily scale the mountain.

Till my next post, this is just an update on how glad I am to be well again. For the first time, I appreciate sitting in front of my computer typing things out with a clear mind. :) After almost 2 full weeks of being really sick, being able to sit here is really a joy.

To great health!!!

My Bubbling Experience

I guess KOI doesn't need much introduction.

Judging from the queues at every KOI I go to, its popularity speaks for itself.

I am one of the big supporters who could survive on KOI alone for a meal. Take tonight for instance. I went out with the intention to buy a regular size milk tea and then use the rest of my $10 to buy some sandwich ingredients for a hearty and healthy meal.

Instead, I splurged $7 on two large cups of Milk Tea with Pearl Half Sugar. Of course, one was for Baby. With just $3, it was barely enough to buy any ingredient. So, I strolled home contented, sucking the aromatic tea with chewy pearls. And yes, I made drinking bubble tea my dinner.

To me, drinking bubble tea in general is an experiential activity. It is more than just tasting the tea or pearls. But I love to be able to chew the al dente pearls floating around my mouth in the cold milk tea. And, KOI is the only shop where I order milk tea. At all others, I order green tea or honey green tea.

Although the wait for the tea can be pretty long, but the exprience to me is like waiting for my toto number to be called out. I get really excited receiving my tea over the counter. Immediately, I would tear open the wrapper protecting the thick tube of straw, and I couldn't wait to suck those black pearls into my mouth.

What an experience of joy!

After each cup, I would crave for more. And soon in a few days' time, I find myself waiting in line for the next bubbling, pearlie experience.

So, that's my experience. What's yours?

Beauty After the Knief

Note: The following post is my personal opinion and not a representation of anyone's opinions.

Pre-yoga today, Celeste shared with me Dawn Yang's photos. So, I made a comment that she reminded me of Angela Baby. And we decided to google Angela Baby's pre-plastic surgery photos.

When I saw the stark constrast of the before and after photos. I couldn't help but awed at the wonders of the knief. The first question I asked Celeste was "You want to do plastic surgery too?".

All right. Before jumping to conclusion, calm down my dear friends. I am not saying, I will go under the knief.

The only thing is, I supposed I would become more even more cynical if I see a beautiful face with almost perfect features - that she must have cut herself somewhere to look like this.

Is this jealousy or envy?

I guess I can't be jealous at the pretty faces that have emerged from undergoing the knieves. If I were, I wouldn't be looking at the photos and going "wow, they are so pretty". And, I really think they were very brave to go through the surgery - for goodness sake, those cuts and stitches must have been painful, even during the healing process. Ok. I have uber low tolerance for pains. So, I am probably not the best person to go through pains for beauty.

I have also seen the procedures before and they look pretty disgusting to me. And I can't bear to risk my not-too-bad-face under the blades. What if I turn out beastly instead of beauty?

For fame and beauty, many women dream of turning themselves from plain Janes into attention-grabbing beauties. Most of those who have gone under the blades, seemed to have turned into paparazzi frenzy. These ugly-ducklings-turned-swans (sometimes just simply plain and not ugly) have attracted much media's attention, casting themselves in the limelight - becoming infamous or famous. Either way, they become some sort of celebrities and talks of the towns, acquiring foes and supporters along the way. As it is, bad press is still publicity.

But the sad reality is, the desire to become famous has caused not just women but men to change themselves outwardly so that they could be picked up to become amongst the rich and the famous. The media's focus on pretty faces that have become successful,  make their lives seemed even more like a fairy tale is a form of encouragement to the normal beings on the streets to dream about living the plastic-surgery produced glamarous lives.

Although there are days I wish to change certain parts of myself, I think I am most unlikely to go through such a drastic change. Firstly, I can't bear the thought of surgery. Going through lasik was already a big step forward. So, as much as I could I would not put myself up for needles and threads.

I'd also like to have people telling me that my children look like me instead of wondering if my hubby had the children with some other woman. I also like the idea of aging gracefully. Even if I can't look SYT forever, I know that other than my physical appearance, there are other bigger and more significant things in life that mean more to me. So, to each her own, we just choose to live our lives diferently. No two lives are the same.

Having said so much, here are a few pictures of Angela Baby's before and after. It doesn't change the fact that I think she's really quite an eye candy.

Updates Updates

I absolutely must blog this post because if I don't, I might not be blogging until next week! Ok. I'll most likely blog tomorrow night anyway.

I have been quite sick over the weekend. In the end, I started drinking the greenish and yucky-looking cough syrup (the colour turned me off) and antibiotics since I was coughing out thick, yellow phlegm - all thanks to me being stubborn. I had to miss Rock Kidz on Sunday because of my persistent cough. Miss the children!

Anyway, after a few rest days and obediently taking medicines, I am on the road to recovery. Although my throat still becomes irritated and I would go into cough attacks (coughed very hard like my lungs were deflated, and I teared and sneezed at the same time). So, thanks to Johan's Halls candy, I managed to make it home on the sardine-packed train last evening. I can't imagine what would happen if I went into one of the cough attacks in that packed train. Haha. That would be really funny - reminds me of another incident. But maybe I'll share next time. If I don't, leave me comments to remind me! I love sharing experiences on MRT. Very funny.

Anyway, it's shoot day today. I am pretty excited. And we will launch tomorrow! Yeah!!! After that, I'll be in HK. Poor Celeste. She will have to handle everything by herself after I am gone. But I'll be staying connected. That is if I can revive my BB. It died yesterday. I am waiting for Dave to come in.

I am also quite hopeless with this collection. I like almost everything! And almost bought all the colours of all designs. But I managed to exert some self control. I'll blog tomorrow and share with you the ones I super love and bought.

Lastly, I am going to also start blogging on Wedding & Travel website. They have a very cool blog section where you can create your own blog within their website. I will start tomorrow. :) Do look out for my posts there! I'll be sharing my own wedding experiences, and since I have a good 10 weddings or so to attend and helping in some of those, I should have many stories to share.

All righty.. as for now, it's back to preparing for my presentation for tomorrow and more writing (internal announcements on wins).

Blogging in Innit (Nuffnang)

I started my first post on Innit today. It looks like a really fun place to be at. Where bloggers gather and share their stories. There is a live chat area... Chatting there is pretty addictive and it requires fast fingers to keep up with the scrolling chats.

Well, go on in to Innit and look at my post! :) I would love to see more people reading my blog anyway. Lol. A bit of narcism there. ;)

Random Thoughts of Today

Ok. Not quite random. I don't think I have ever been known to be random. I am quite a structured thinker when it comes to writing. Lol. Singing praises to myself.. yeah yeah.

1. Moda Shoppe Membership
We launched our membership program and received constructive feedbacks. I am happy to know that all of you welcome the membership. Thanks! I wish we could provide higher discounts. But at this point, 5% is the best we could afford you. But fret not! You have a very good birthday discount! :) Anyway, we also hear a lot of people wanting to be a member but felt the membership is out of reach. The initial plan was to reach out to the true loyalists of Moda Shoppe. But as more people are interested, I would love to include them in this membership program. So, don't worry babes. We are listening and we hear you! :) Just bear with us a bit. We will work out something and you will hear from us soon.

2. I am sick :(
I think I have been working very hard for my two jobs. Both jobs are equally taxing. But... Moda Shoppe provides me a lot more motivation in my life now. I eat and breathe Moda Shoppe. And I really really want to make Moda Shoppe a success and not just something for fun forever. Which is why I spent a good one-two weeks working very late on plans for customers, manufacturing our own clothes and sourcing alternative suppliers all over Asia. On top of that, I am also working alot on marketing for Moda Shoppe. Hopefully to get our name heard and known! :) So, every feedback is good for us now. Do keep them coming yar? And babes... do spread our name if you are happy with us. Provide us testimonies on our website too. Many thanks in advance ~!

3. HDB - Water Terrace Failed
Yes yes.. we failed at the ballot again. I seriously think this balloting system is really crappy. The whole system introduced today to cool the property market was in my opinion, another money-making scheme for the government. I am very cynical of their new plans. And, with elections around the corner, they should really review this balloting system, which doesn't make sense to us at all. They should do a first-come-first-serve system instead! To be fair to people who balloted 5-10 times and more!

Anyway,  I was complaining about it on tweets and FB yesterday. But today, a dear sister-in-Christ sent me a messgae and it got my feet on the grounds again. Yes... I need to remember that our Abba Father has greater and better plans for us. There must be a reason we aren't getting the ballots. So, keep the faith up Cindy! He is waiting to bless us with the best home we ever expected. Thanks Juliana for that message. <3

4. Blogs
I have many things to share! Really. So, dear readers, I will have to backpost quite a bit. So, do read all the entries after this one... Might take a few days though, given the fact that I am quite affected by the heavy doses of antihistamines and cough syrups. But I MUST blog this post.

So, followers of my blog. I shall sign off this post now and hopefully, I will have the energy and clarity of mind to blog the others  I am dying to share with you.

Till the next post ~

Sign Off with Love,
Cindy

Sunday... Son Day... Jesus' Day... Lord's Day

I love Sundays... I think I know why it's called Sunday. Because it's "Son-Day".

God's Beloved Son's Day = Jesus' Day = Lord's Day = Serving Day = Service Day.

Maybe most of you do not know. I serve in the Children Ministry at New Creation Church. Also called Rock Kidz. I love the days when I serve. Although the waking up part is dreadful. Sometimes, I think God has to wake me up - I will wake up shocked that I am going to be late. But everytime I reach and see the sisters serving, I feel glad being there. Everytime I see the children arriving, even the annoying, crying children, I feel a sense of joy. They make me laugh or smile even with their most annoying moments. And everytime I see the child growing, I feel a sense of achievement.

I also think that children are the empty cups amongst us. They are bright, eager to learn and with so much space to learn. Sometimes, I think when I serve, I am like an empty cup too. Although they are learning from me, I am learning a lot from them too!

I like being able to share with the children. Most of all, I learn alot from them. I learn the ability to handle children - I never knew I am able to. I learn I have a sheer amount of patience that I never knew I had - must be God's grace. And I learn a lot about chlidren... and every time I serve, I learn something new - even changing diapers and making milk. Of course, I learn a lot from my fellow sisters serving. I love being able to serve Him and be his blessing unto these children. Everytime I serve, I have this overflowing love, peace and joy. It is an indescribable feeling.

So, on this "Son Day", I had my Fiesta Cheescake in the taxi and was blessed by Elsie with a card of encouragement. Thanks to my awesome leader.

Looking forward to the next "Son-day".

This Fiesta Cheesecake was so light and delicious. Thank God it had a mini size. Otherwise, I'll be worried about the calories I put on.

Awesome card from Elsie. Thanks!

Wedding AD Photos (Night) - Please refer to earlier post for more

Banquet photos can be really boring - table shoots, the usual guests posing photos etc. And of course, banquets are just standard.

We wanted to do our second march-in with a dance. But due to the gown I chose, there was no way I could dance. I also didn't plan earlier about dancing, so, the idea was completely ditched even though we learnt the dance (sorry Leonard - you taught well but we didn't dance).

Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun. I love the time I had to interact with my friends. And I love the way William captured our expressions. It is certainly for great memory. Even now, after months I am looking at them, I still feel that moment's joy.

I think this is very important because, the wedding day passed by too quickly. There was hardly any moment to savour. It was especially true for the banquet. I could hardly remember anything, especially after my great friends concocted potent drinks for me, which not only made me so happy that night, but also very drunk after that. :)

So, I am glad we chose William for our photography. Because he captured the moments we did not manage to savour and when we look back now, we could reminisce. :) Such blissful moments - of course, post-wedding, we are even more blissful.

A hug to thank Baby for settling the tables issue... at least, guests were seated.

Thanks to star emcees - Silas and Cindy. They were so good that people thought they were professional.

The drinking started - with potent drinks from Joyce and coy... after that, I was really "happy".

More drinking

Joe was the man - he drank most of my potent drinks.

But he instigated Baby to drink...

Wedding AD Photos (Day) - Please refer to earlier post for more

Finally, I found the time to go through the hundreds of photos. With almost every photo being good, it certainly wasn't easy selecting my favourite photos. So, here are some I really liked - was a really tough choice.

Really love the way William captured the expressions of everyone. I think he was absolutely great!

My wedding day was really memorable. I did away with the usual gate crash but added a door crash instead. I didn't sabotage him. Instead, I wanted him to do meaningful things so I involved my family.

Wanted to do a dance for banquet but due to last minute gown issue, we did not dance. So, I made him do a "Nobody but you dance". I was crazy about that song's routine at that time. Then we made him convince my parents. My parents were really good sports. Dad even asked him to speak in Teochew - which really cracked up the whole family. Even granny got herself involved in the door crash. It was really fun. Then, we got him to write me a love poem. He did a really good job and the poem was really lovely. Completely touched me.

I think gate crash or door crash should not be sabotages. If brides and bridesmaids were to do something, they should really put their hearts into considering what are considered meaningful for the bride and bridegroom. Brides should also take control to avoid bridesmaids from going overboard. Ultimately, you just want him to express his "final" moments of sincerity before fetching you away from your family. So, make it meaningful and memorable. Involve your family - it will be even better. :)

Surprised with the door crash.
