Belated Post: Travelled San Francisco (Part IV) - Road Trip

Quy, Mathieu and I decided to embark on a road trip out of the city. We rented a car and drove on a disappointing foggy, chilly and rainy morning, praying that the weather would turn better for us. Fortunately, as the day goes by, the weather became better and we could continue our wine-tasting road trip at Napa Valley.

We also stopped by small towns for meals and sight-seeing. Being adventurous, we also drove up a mountain and drove back down before it became very dark. It was really scary because the roads were really narrow and we were not quite experienced. Kudos to Mathieu - who was pretty skillful despite lack of driving experiences. He got us all safely back to the city and we were exhausted but contented.

Some favourite selections. More to come in next posts.

The GPS was our best friend. Just starting off! Excited!

Remember I said I loved Sausalito? We came back after paying a short visit to the Golden Gate Bridge. For a start, we were starving. So, we went to the Lighthouse Coffee Shop.

Acupunture for animals???

It was a really charming small town.

Belated Post: Travelled San Francisco (Part III)

Golden Gate Bridge
One of the must-sees. Apparently, the view is better in winter than in summer. Summer tends to fog up more. So, I was blessed with picturesque views. Alluring.

Bay Bridge
I can't remember the exact name of this bridge but it's visible even from Golden Gate Bridge. Mathieu took this shot when the whole gang left for an island without me. It is a less famous bridge but still beautiful.

Marine County
The Marine County is one of the nicest estates to live in. Expensive too.

Belated Post: Travelled San Francisco (Part II)

Night Lights
It is a city with lotsa bright lights.

Architectures
I was taken through the numerous types of architectures. Some were really unique and amazing.

A church that looks like a hat.

A show was made here. But I can't remember the show title.

So steep! It must be stressful parking here.

I love this. Houses built on a hill looking out to the sea. So lovely. This is Sausalito.

Still Sausalito

I fell deeply in love with Sausalito and on a road trip we took later on, we went back to Sausalito to spend more lovely time here. This is a truly unforgettable place.

Belated Post: Travelled San Francisco (Part I)

I stayed at The Westin on Market Street. Views from my room.

Palace of Fine Arts
It has a lovely, romantic and sad tale. But I can't remember now.

The women were facing inwards because they were crying. Legend has it that they could not let the world see they were crying.

The Cable Car Ride
I had to take the cable car ride because it would be quite an experience. The queue was crazy but I waited patiently under the hot sun that caused me to perspire even in winter.

When the cable car arrived, the cable car staff had to manually turned the cable car towards the upward direction.

Manually pushing

See how steep the cable car went up!

Belated Post: My Solemnization 090909

Well, as mentioned in my previous post, I am going to have quite a few belated posts upcoming. I just finished sorting out all my photos because I like to use a different cameras for different occasion. When I scuba dive, I use Fuji and Canon G10. On some days when I go out, I like to bring G10 otherwise DSLR. So, I ended up having photos everywhere.

Anyway, my solemnization took place in 090909 at New Creation Church for family members only. And now looking at the photos, it conjured many lovely memories. And some memories stressful ones. If I could do this again, I'll hire a helper.

The night before, I was at the florist quarrelling with the staff because they ordered the wrong flowers for my hand bouquet and hairdo but still called to confirm a day before. I was so upset with the wrong flowers so baby took me to Auntie Kim for dinner to appease me. Thank God to Marilyn, my hairdo was settled. But I had not found my shoes. So, I made a last minute dash to find my shoes. Yes. On my solemnization day.

In the end, I settled for a pair of white patent peep toes heels from Guess. By the time I reached the studio, I was exhausted and a bit late. So, I simply sank into my chair and let Marilyn do her work.

The make up began but ended late too. Then Baby, Susan and I rushed down to the church with our phones ringing a lot because our guests had arrived but we had not. They also could not recognise the church coordinator. So, Baby had to do a rally style driving.

I was so relieved when we reached the church. Seeing the wedding coordinator eased the stress because from us. Baby and I indulged in the blessings from our family members. And up to that point, we did not think about the music. So, we used a piece from the church.

Kinda' chaotic because we really did not prepare very well for it.

Finally, the moments arrived for Dad to walk me in. Dad and I had a talk outside and I almost teared from his touching words. From then on, the whole process was very smooth and kinda' emotional in the beginning. But it ended well and I was officially Mrs Teng.

Some photos for view.

Updates: 2 NOV 2010

Woah... Sometimes, I do not know where time goes to. It just goes by too fast too fast.

I have been so busy for the past week - busy with at work and working midnights. Then busy with the booth. And finally, I downloaded and sorted out my very messy storage for my photos. That taught me not to use several cameras in future.

So, in the posts to come, I will be posting some belated photos.

Meanwhile, a little opinion of mine for the booth we had the past Saturday. It was a disappointment. The organiser advertise the event as "Fashionista Event" and when we were there, it was nothing glamarous. In fact, it was wose than Tanglin Flea Market. The location was poor with low human traffic and it was raining intermittently so I tihnk it made things worse. So, we are really thankful for those who came down specially to support us. Many thanks for the love! :) Despite that, we still enjoyed ourselves. It was quite fun nevertheless. But really tiring. I woke up at 5am because of the rain and kept praying for it to stop. ;p

Here are a few photos we took.

For those who have been wondering when our next launch is... Sorry that there's such a long hiatus. The next launch will be in the week of 15 Nov! We have been really busy. But we do have some really pretty clothes to share! In fact, I am wearing one today and Derrick said this is a very pretty dress.

Do keep a lookout! You will defnitely receive updates.

Finally, we were told that there were reviews of us on Cozy Cot "Reviews for your Online Loots" on the forum. So thrilled to hear that! Thanks a lot for the reviews. We are really glad our clothes have been accepted and loved.

Till the next post ~~ Keep well everyone. Have a blessed week ahead!
