Random Thoughts of Today

Ok. Not quite random. I don't think I have ever been known to be random. I am quite a structured thinker when it comes to writing. Lol. Singing praises to myself.. yeah yeah.

1. Moda Shoppe Membership
We launched our membership program and received constructive feedbacks. I am happy to know that all of you welcome the membership. Thanks! I wish we could provide higher discounts. But at this point, 5% is the best we could afford you. But fret not! You have a very good birthday discount! :) Anyway, we also hear a lot of people wanting to be a member but felt the membership is out of reach. The initial plan was to reach out to the true loyalists of Moda Shoppe. But as more people are interested, I would love to include them in this membership program. So, don't worry babes. We are listening and we hear you! :) Just bear with us a bit. We will work out something and you will hear from us soon.

2. I am sick :(
I think I have been working very hard for my two jobs. Both jobs are equally taxing. But... Moda Shoppe provides me a lot more motivation in my life now. I eat and breathe Moda Shoppe. And I really really want to make Moda Shoppe a success and not just something for fun forever. Which is why I spent a good one-two weeks working very late on plans for customers, manufacturing our own clothes and sourcing alternative suppliers all over Asia. On top of that, I am also working alot on marketing for Moda Shoppe. Hopefully to get our name heard and known! :) So, every feedback is good for us now. Do keep them coming yar? And babes... do spread our name if you are happy with us. Provide us testimonies on our website too. Many thanks in advance ~!

3. HDB - Water Terrace Failed
Yes yes.. we failed at the ballot again. I seriously think this balloting system is really crappy. The whole system introduced today to cool the property market was in my opinion, another money-making scheme for the government. I am very cynical of their new plans. And, with elections around the corner, they should really review this balloting system, which doesn't make sense to us at all. They should do a first-come-first-serve system instead! To be fair to people who balloted 5-10 times and more!

Anyway,  I was complaining about it on tweets and FB yesterday. But today, a dear sister-in-Christ sent me a messgae and it got my feet on the grounds again. Yes... I need to remember that our Abba Father has greater and better plans for us. There must be a reason we aren't getting the ballots. So, keep the faith up Cindy! He is waiting to bless us with the best home we ever expected. Thanks Juliana for that message. <3

4. Blogs
I have many things to share! Really. So, dear readers, I will have to backpost quite a bit. So, do read all the entries after this one... Might take a few days though, given the fact that I am quite affected by the heavy doses of antihistamines and cough syrups. But I MUST blog this post.

So, followers of my blog. I shall sign off this post now and hopefully, I will have the energy and clarity of mind to blog the others  I am dying to share with you.

Till the next post ~

Cindy

Sunday... Son Day... Jesus' Day... Lord's Day

I love Sundays... I think I know why it's called Sunday. Because it's "Son-Day".

God's Beloved Son's Day = Jesus' Day = Lord's Day = Serving Day = Service Day.

Maybe most of you do not know. I serve in the Children Ministry at New Creation Church. Also called Rock Kidz. I love the days when I serve. Although the waking up part is dreadful. Sometimes, I think God has to wake me up - I will wake up shocked that I am going to be late. But everytime I reach and see the sisters serving, I feel glad being there. Everytime I see the children arriving, even the annoying, crying children, I feel a sense of joy. They make me laugh or smile even with their most annoying moments. And everytime I see the child growing, I feel a sense of achievement.

I also think that children are the empty cups amongst us. They are bright, eager to learn and with so much space to learn. Sometimes, I think when I serve, I am like an empty cup too. Although they are learning from me, I am learning a lot from them too!

I like being able to share with the children. Most of all, I learn alot from them. I learn the ability to handle children - I never knew I am able to. I learn I have a sheer amount of patience that I never knew I had - must be God's grace. And I learn a lot about chlidren... and every time I serve, I learn something new - even changing diapers and making milk. Of course, I learn a lot from my fellow sisters serving. I love being able to serve Him and be his blessing unto these children. Everytime I serve, I have this overflowing love, peace and joy. It is an indescribable feeling.

So, on this "Son Day", I had my Fiesta Cheescake in the taxi and was blessed by Elsie with a card of encouragement. Thanks to my awesome leader.

Looking forward to the next "Son-day".

This Fiesta Cheesecake was so light and delicious. Thank God it had a mini size. Otherwise, I'll be worried about the calories I put on.

Awesome card from Elsie. Thanks!

Bling Bling Shoes

I bought myself a pair of bling shoes from Pazzion. Was supposed to look for a pair that Grace was wearing but ended up changing my mind to this pair. Super love it! Made of lamb skin and the blings were simply alluring. Anyway, I am aiming two more pairs. Anyone wants to buy two more pair to share a Pazzion membership? (I've told Grace to aim too... Haha. So, first-come-first-serve.)

Banquet photos can be really boring - table shoots, the usual guests posing photos etc. And of course, banquets are just standard.

We wanted to do our second march-in with a dance. But due to the gown I chose, there was no way I could dance. I also didn't plan earlier about dancing, so, the idea was completely ditched even though we learnt the dance (sorry Leonard - you taught well but we didn't dance).

Nevertheless, we had a lot of fun. I love the time I had to interact with my friends. And I love the way William captured our expressions. It is certainly for great memory. Even now, after months I am looking at them, I still feel that moment's joy.

I think this is very important because, the wedding day passed by too quickly. There was hardly any moment to savour. It was especially true for the banquet. I could hardly remember anything, especially after my great friends concocted potent drinks for me, which not only made me so happy that night, but also very drunk after that. :)

So, I am glad we chose William for our photography. Because he captured the moments we did not manage to savour and when we look back now, we could reminisce. :) Such blissful moments - of course, post-wedding, we are even more blissful.

A hug to thank Baby for settling the tables issue... at least, guests were seated.

Thanks to star emcees - Silas and Cindy. They were so good that people thought they were professional.

The drinking started - with potent drinks from Joyce and coy... after that, I was really "happy".

More drinking

Joe was the man - he drank most of my potent drinks.

But he instigated Baby to drink...

Finally, I found the time to go through the hundreds of photos. With almost every photo being good, it certainly wasn't easy selecting my favourite photos. So, here are some I really liked - was a really tough choice.

Really love the way William captured the expressions of everyone. I think he was absolutely great!

My wedding day was really memorable. I did away with the usual gate crash but added a door crash instead. I didn't sabotage him. Instead, I wanted him to do meaningful things so I involved my family.

Wanted to do a dance for banquet but due to last minute gown issue, we did not dance. So, I made him do a "Nobody but you dance". I was crazy about that song's routine at that time. Then we made him convince my parents. My parents were really good sports. Dad even asked him to speak in Teochew - which really cracked up the whole family. Even granny got herself involved in the door crash. It was really fun. Then, we got him to write me a love poem. He did a really good job and the poem was really lovely. Completely touched me.

I think gate crash or door crash should not be sabotages. If brides and bridesmaids were to do something, they should really put their hearts into considering what are considered meaningful for the bride and bridegroom. Brides should also take control to avoid bridesmaids from going overboard. Ultimately, you just want him to express his "final" moments of sincerity before fetching you away from your family. So, make it meaningful and memorable. Involve your family - it will be even better. :)

Thanks William... And thanks to Precious Moments Bridal for the gowns. Thanks Marilyn for the make up. Thanks Steve for the video. Thanks Goodwood Park Hotel for the great wedding coordination and management. Thanks to the great team of people helping out the wedding. Love ya all! Lastly, really thank God for blessing us with such a wonderful and memorable wedding.

Sorry this came only months after wedding. :) Never too late yar?

I love shots like these - showing macro details of the gowns.
Nervously and excitedly waiting for Baby's arrival

Getting Jomond ready to open the door

Arrived

Surprised with the door crash.

Granny and of course, the rest of the family enjoyed themselves. It was not sabotage at all but all the meaningful stuffs.

Love poem by Baby. Artwork by cousins.

On the way to my in-laws.

In the room, waiting for dumpling.

The bestest team in the world. Thanks everyone for the great help.

Membership Program on Moda Shoppe

Oh yes!!! I forgot to mention this. Moda Shoppe is going to launch membership program this weekend. I am pretty excited about it because I am quite sure we are the first blogshop that provides this program. I can't wait to hear feedbacks from you babes! Do let me know what you think all right?

x,
Cindy

New on My Menu

Ok. I didn't have time to do the things I wanted to do - to update Style Guide on Moda Shoppe (sorry babes), I didn't manage to blog on Wedding & Travel (sorry Clara) and I didn't manage to upload the photos I wanted to upload. Sighz. Because... I was busy trying exploring advertisements on my blog! :) And time simply flew me by.

Anyway, something new today - I created something new for Baby and I. This is Honey Roasted Chicken & Asparagus Pasta with Garlic Dressing. A little bit like Aglio Olio but it's different because, I made it salad style. It tasted yummylicious. *growl* (just thinking of it) ^^

Some Old Photos

I was going through some of my thousands of photos and found some that really brought back fond memories. I also realised I did not upload photos from Baby's camera from Maldives trip - not yet. I haven't gone through the San Francisco trip ones. I've got some nice shots. But time simply zooms by! Before I knew it, a few months have passed me by.

Anyway, this is one classic shot I like. This was taken with my bestie when I threw her a surprise at Sentosa. I wonder what surprise I should throw her this year... Hmmmm.... She will be so so so curious yet she wouldn't want to know.

Dating with Baby

It has been a long time since Baby and I went out together to chill out. Since I am into the Timbre craze, he decided to bring me to Timbre at Substation. I enjoyed myself despite it being pretty humid. Baby on the other hand had to tolerate the heat (he needs air conditioning). He was simply sweet!!! Such a wonderful husband I have. *MUACKS*

We first headed to have nice chicken rice for dinner. This is the one opposite Novena Church. Well, I was craving for the Hong Kong Street fish soup but it was too crowded.
