Updates Updates

I absolutely must blog this post because if I don't, I might not be blogging until next week! Ok. I'll most likely blog tomorrow night anyway.

I have been quite sick over the weekend. In the end, I started drinking the greenish and yucky-looking cough syrup (the colour turned me off) and antibiotics since I was coughing out thick, yellow phlegm - all thanks to me being stubborn. I had to miss Rock Kidz on Sunday because of my persistent cough. Miss the children!

Anyway, after a few rest days and obediently taking medicines, I am on the road to recovery. Although my throat still becomes irritated and I would go into cough attacks (coughed very hard like my lungs were deflated, and I teared and sneezed at the same time). So, thanks to Johan's Halls candy, I managed to make it home on the sardine-packed train last evening. I can't imagine what would happen if I went into one of the cough attacks in that packed train. Haha. That would be really funny - reminds me of another incident. But maybe I'll share next time. If I don't, leave me comments to remind me! I love sharing experiences on MRT. Very funny.

Anyway, it's shoot day today. I am pretty excited. And we will launch tomorrow! Yeah!!! After that, I'll be in HK. Poor Celeste. She will have to handle everything by herself after I am gone. But I'll be staying connected. That is if I can revive my BB. It died yesterday. I am waiting for Dave to come in.

I am also quite hopeless with this collection. I like almost everything! And almost bought all the colours of all designs. But I managed to exert some self control. I'll blog tomorrow and share with you the ones I super love and bought.

Lastly, I am going to also start blogging on Wedding & Travel website. They have a very cool blog section where you can create your own blog within their website. I will start tomorrow. :) Do look out for my posts there! I'll be sharing my own wedding experiences, and since I have a good 10 weddings or so to attend and helping in some of those, I should have many stories to share.

All righty.. as for now, it's back to preparing for my presentation for tomorrow and more writing (internal announcements on wins).

That Boring Blazer

Most of us girls would probably own a boring blazer that we bought for the final year project presentation, the interview we wish to snag by looking very professional or for the graduation ceremony.

But very often after these occasions, the jacket is stuffed in a corner of the closet waiting to be worn again during our next job interview, or when we attend another event. However, we don't always go back to this jacket again because of nicer, funkier blazers our there that are more stylish and interesting for meeting the clients and attending a conference.

Who doesn't want to flaunt their sense of fashion right? So, for today, I decided to take out my boring blazer from G2000, which I bought at a steal of S$48.00 because of a sale and tried to explore a more creative way to wear it. I just wanted to make the best of even the most boring clothes in my closet. *LOL*

And of course, sharing with you girls my own sense of fashion. :)

Disclaimer: This is not written with concrete research but simply my own opinion.

I wore the boring blazer with a bright tank top on the inside. This blazer will keep me warm in my freezing office. But when I am walking outside, I could always remove it and wear just that tank top. The bright tank top adds a zest of colour, giving the overall look more interesting.

I pair it with 3/4 black pants with chains on them. Gives a touch of rock and style. Sorry I didn't take my footwear, which is highly critical. Due to larger hips and the masculine look of the blazer, I wore my pointed black pumps so that I look slimmer overall.

A closer look.

I wore the H&M earrings from Celeste recently to add a less formal touch. It goes extremely well with my short hair. Loving it!

Blogging in Innit (Nuffnang)

I started my first post on Innit today. It looks like a really fun place to be at. Where bloggers gather and share their stories. There is a live chat area... Chatting there is pretty addictive and it requires fast fingers to keep up with the scrolling chats.

Well, go on in to Innit and look at my post! :) I would love to see more people reading my blog anyway. Lol. A bit of narcism there. ;)

Random Thoughts of Today

Ok. Not quite random. I don't think I have ever been known to be random. I am quite a structured thinker when it comes to writing. Lol. Singing praises to myself.. yeah yeah.

1. Moda Shoppe Membership
We launched our membership program and received constructive feedbacks. I am happy to know that all of you welcome the membership. Thanks! I wish we could provide higher discounts. But at this point, 5% is the best we could afford you. But fret not! You have a very good birthday discount! :) Anyway, we also hear a lot of people wanting to be a member but felt the membership is out of reach. The initial plan was to reach out to the true loyalists of Moda Shoppe. But as more people are interested, I would love to include them in this membership program. So, don't worry babes. We are listening and we hear you! :) Just bear with us a bit. We will work out something and you will hear from us soon.

2. I am sick :(
I think I have been working very hard for my two jobs. Both jobs are equally taxing. But... Moda Shoppe provides me a lot more motivation in my life now. I eat and breathe Moda Shoppe. And I really really want to make Moda Shoppe a success and not just something for fun forever. Which is why I spent a good one-two weeks working very late on plans for customers, manufacturing our own clothes and sourcing alternative suppliers all over Asia. On top of that, I am also working alot on marketing for Moda Shoppe. Hopefully to get our name heard and known! :) So, every feedback is good for us now. Do keep them coming yar? And babes... do spread our name if you are happy with us. Provide us testimonies on our website too. Many thanks in advance ~!

3. HDB - Water Terrace Failed
Yes yes.. we failed at the ballot again. I seriously think this balloting system is really crappy. The whole system introduced today to cool the property market was in my opinion, another money-making scheme for the government. I am very cynical of their new plans. And, with elections around the corner, they should really review this balloting system, which doesn't make sense to us at all. They should do a first-come-first-serve system instead! To be fair to people who balloted 5-10 times and more!

Anyway,  I was complaining about it on tweets and FB yesterday. But today, a dear sister-in-Christ sent me a messgae and it got my feet on the grounds again. Yes... I need to remember that our Abba Father has greater and better plans for us. There must be a reason we aren't getting the ballots. So, keep the faith up Cindy! He is waiting to bless us with the best home we ever expected. Thanks Juliana for that message. <3

4. Blogs
I have many things to share! Really. So, dear readers, I will have to backpost quite a bit. So, do read all the entries after this one... Might take a few days though, given the fact that I am quite affected by the heavy doses of antihistamines and cough syrups. But I MUST blog this post.

So, followers of my blog. I shall sign off this post now and hopefully, I will have the energy and clarity of mind to blog the others  I am dying to share with you.

Till the next post ~

Sign Off with Love,
Cindy

Sunday... Son Day... Jesus' Day... Lord's Day

I love Sundays... I think I know why it's called Sunday. Because it's "Son-Day".

God's Beloved Son's Day = Jesus' Day = Lord's Day = Serving Day = Service Day.

Maybe most of you do not know. I serve in the Children Ministry at New Creation Church. Also called Rock Kidz. I love the days when I serve. Although the waking up part is dreadful. Sometimes, I think God has to wake me up - I will wake up shocked that I am going to be late. But everytime I reach and see the sisters serving, I feel glad being there. Everytime I see the children arriving, even the annoying, crying children, I feel a sense of joy. They make me laugh or smile even with their most annoying moments. And everytime I see the child growing, I feel a sense of achievement.

I also think that children are the empty cups amongst us. They are bright, eager to learn and with so much space to learn. Sometimes, I think when I serve, I am like an empty cup too. Although they are learning from me, I am learning a lot from them too!

I like being able to share with the children. Most of all, I learn alot from them. I learn the ability to handle children - I never knew I am able to. I learn I have a sheer amount of patience that I never knew I had - must be God's grace. And I learn a lot about chlidren... and every time I serve, I learn something new - even changing diapers and making milk. Of course, I learn a lot from my fellow sisters serving. I love being able to serve Him and be his blessing unto these children. Everytime I serve, I have this overflowing love, peace and joy. It is an indescribable feeling.

So, on this "Son Day", I had my Fiesta Cheescake in the taxi and was blessed by Elsie with a card of encouragement. Thanks to my awesome leader.

Looking forward to the next "Son-day".

This Fiesta Cheesecake was so light and delicious. Thank God it had a mini size. Otherwise, I'll be worried about the calories I put on.

Awesome card from Elsie. Thanks!

Bling Bling Shoes

I bought myself a pair of bling shoes from Pazzion. Was supposed to look for a pair that Grace was wearing but ended up changing my mind to this pair. Super love it! Made of lamb skin and the blings were simply alluring. Anyway, I am aiming two more pairs. Anyone wants to buy two more pair to share a Pazzion membership? (I've told Grace to aim too... Haha. So, first-come-first-serve.)
